• Is it ok to have a facial before Wrinkle relaxing injections?
It’s absolutely fine to have a facial treatment *before* wrinkle relaxing treatments, however, we would advise against having a facial for at least 24 hours *after* because it’s important to let the product settle
• How long before a big event should I consider Facial treatments?
This depends on your preferred treatment, wrinkle reducing injections can take up to 2 weeks to fully take effect and this is when your review apt will be. This will be to check for any tweaks that may be needed. The same goes for Dermal Fillers, allowing at least 2 weeks is preferable so we can make sure all is settled and it is to your preferred outcome
• Is it ok to do a sport or exercise after a facial treatment?
It is advisable - for the optimum outcome of your treatment to abstain from any vigorous exercise within 24hrs of your facial treatment
• will my face be swollen or bruised following a treatment?
This depends which facial injections/treatments you choose to have, treatments such as PRP, Mesotherapy and Dermal Fillers can cause redness and swelling directly after, these should only be evident for around 24hrs, advice on each treatment and after care is provided both verbally and in your aftercare forms. Some treatments maybe only cause small pin prick marks which subside within a few hours at most
• will my treatment hurt?
I use ultra fine Needles to inject, they are relatively pain free, you can also choose to have local Aesthetic cream applied which numbs the area very successfully. Ice packs can also be applied pre injection which also helps if you are prone to bruising
• How long can I expect my treatment to last?
Fine lines and wrinkles treatments last around 3-4 months on average, but that’s also a very individual figure, your consultation will address the best way to achieve a good duration. Dermal fillers should last between 5-12 months depending on the area treated. Some like to wait for lines to return back to normal, some like to address lines/wrinkles as soon as they can. Your two week review with wrinkle relaxing injections certainly helps with longevity, it’s a complimentary part of your treatment so also worthwhile trying to attend
